    Job Description SummaryThe Health Physics Technician works in the Safety and Facilities department and is responsible for providing support for the manufacture, testing and distribution of implantable medical devices.

    Responsibilities:

    + Perform environmental monitoring of facility+ Coordinate personnel bioassay and monitoring program+ Coordinate collection, segregation, storage, and disposal of produced waste+ Responsible for control and calibration of all dose, count rate and monitoring instrumentation+ Prepare necessary routine and non-routine IEMA, DOT and EPA reports+ Perform investigations associated with the following:+ Product complaints+ Corrective and preventative action projects+ Product and process improvement projects+ Sealed source inventory discrepancies+ Personnel or facility contamination incidents+ Assist in IEMA facility inspections and required responses+ Working knowledge of IEMA license requirements+ Understand and follow the established corporate safety standards, local facility operating procedures and safety policies+ Follow Quality Systems Regulations and established procedures+ Recycling+ Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Requirement:+ High School Diploma or GEDFor certain roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company's receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
