    MITRE, a not-for-profit organization, specializes in technical and research solutions to address critical challenges faced by the nation.

    Department Summary:

    The N112 Special Projects Department functions as a trusted advisor to government partners, specializing in system integration efforts within the space warfighting domain. The department engages in architecting and implementing new technologies and software applications to support a robust space enterprise infrastructure, sensing, and integrated C2 system.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Develop state-of-the-art prototypes utilizing Software Defined Radios for signal processing
    • Lead a development team, providing technical guidance to the sponsor Program Manager and project stakeholders
    • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams and maintain necessary systems and documentation
    • Work on-site with the sponsor in Colorado Springs, CO

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's degree in relevant fields
    • Proficiency in software design patterns and signal analysis
    • Experience with Software Defined Radios and various programming languages
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts
    • DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Expertise in SATCOM protocols and RF signal path characterization
    • Familiarity with VSAT technologies and DoD/Air or Space Force programs
    • Ability to learn and apply new technologies, technical writing skills, and Linux OS development
    • Experience with GPU architectures, CUDA, Docker containers, and IP network protocols
    • Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

    Salary Compensation Range:

    $141,000 - $176,000 - $211,000 Annual

    Onsite
