    Seven Seas Water Group operates two businesses within the water infrastructure space. Seven Seas Water provides water and wastewater solutions for governmental and industrial customers in Latin America and the Caribbean. AUC Group ( ) provides decentralized wastewater treatment plants for industrial and municipal customers in the United States. Seven Seas Water delivers ~18 billion gallons of clean water annually and operates eleven large water treatment plants internationally.

    AUC Group has more than 140 wastewater treatment plants under lease in the United States with property developers, municipal customers, and utility districts.

    The company's various water and wastewater facilities consistently maintain plant availability above 97% for its customers.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

    The Senior Accountant will support the accounting operations for the Seven Seas Water Division. The position reports to the Accounting Manager and is located in Tampa, FL.

    This candidate must be local to Tampa and be willing to work a hybrid office schedule with 2-3 days in the office every week from the corporate office.


    The Senior Accountant responsibilities include:

    • Preparation of month end close journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis to support the financial close process in compliance with US GAAP
    • Analyze financial results and conduct variance analysis of actuals vs budget
    • Assist in researching accounting policies and compliance as necessary
    • Support the annual audit with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
    • Problem solving and independent decision-making regarding accounting and reconciliation functions.
    Requirements


    Qualification/Requirements:


    • Excellent computer skills, preferably with a market leading ERP system (Oracle, SAP, Edwards, etc.)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work cross functionally with all teams.
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP with experience in accounting research
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
    • Ability to work well with team members and other departments at all levels within the organization
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Well organized with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, high growth business environment

    Education/Experience:


    • Minimum of 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
    • CPA preferred
    • Public accounting experience required. Big Four experience preferred
