Biology Laboratory Technician (w/d/m)

The Hannover Medical School (MHH), with around employees, is the largest state-owned enterprise in the state of Lower Saxony.

It is a university institution for research and teaching in human and dental medicine and a supramaximal care university hospital.

Research, teaching, patient care, and administration work hand in hand in an integrated model on the MHH campus.

The Groesbeck Institute for Laboratory Animal Science and Central Animal Laboratory at MHH is one of the largest and most complex laboratory animal facilities at European science locations.

We combine the highest standards of animal welfare and quality with internationally recognized research.

The tasks of the Laboratory Animal Pathology working group include disease diagnostics of our own animal husbandry as well as support for MHH working groups in the evaluation of animal experimental studies.

Your tasks

Independent organization of the pathological-histological laboratory: coordination and execution of the necessary work, in particular histological sample processing and preparation of histological sections
Project meetings and independent communication with scientists

Independent management of consumables:
material orders, inventory management, preparation of invoices
Maintenance and care of technical equipment for histological sample processing
Maintenance of laboratory-specific quality management documents
Participation in the supervision of trainees (biology laboratory technicians) and in the further education of veterinarians and scientists
