Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team.

As an LVN, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to patients in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist registered nurses and physicians in delivering patient care and ensuring their well-being.


Responsibilities:

• Perform routine nursing tasks under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and record vital signs of patients
• Assist with wound care, suture removal, and catheterization
• Conduct gastric lavage and other procedures as directed
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education
• Maintain accurate medical records using ICD9 coding

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse preferred
• Experience in an emergency room (ER) or nursing home setting is a plus
• Familiarity with senior care practices and protocols

Skills:

• Proficient in administering medications and treatments
• Strong knowledge of vital sign monitoring and assessment
• Ability to perform gastric lavage and other medical procedures
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Detailoriented with the ability to maintain accurate medical records
