ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2) Dispositions production & engineering lots on hold due to process/measurement or inspection issues

3) First line of defense resolving operational issues raised by production operators, escalates to engineering if required

4) First line of defense to bring up a down tool, escalates to maintenance/engineering if needed. Able to reach out to vendors to resolve tool/recipe issues if necessary

5) Troubleshoots inspection/measurement failures to verify if they are due to recipe/wafer problems. Corrects the recipe if it is due to recipe issue, and triages to Engineering team if it is due to wafer problem

6) Writes operation/engineering procedures; trains and certifies production operators and junior technicians to use AOI/Metrology tools. Able to cross-train engineers to use AOI/Metrology Tools if necessary

7) Trains & ensures operators run SPC, and executes OCAP (out of control action plan) if needed

8) Executes Design of Experiment (DOE) provided by Engineering and provides data summary & report to Engineering

9) Performs calibration, qualification on AOI/CMM tools

10) Performs/Supports Engineering to do root cause analysis/8D on measurement/inspection escapes


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
8-10 years of experience with A.A. Engineering degree or 3-5 years of experience with B.S. Electrical/Mechanical/Computer/Manufacturing or equivalent Engineering degree working in metrology/process engineering environment

Substantial hands-on experience as an engineering tech in a wafer-fab environment is required. Previous experience with AOI/metrology tools is strongly preferred

1) place high importance on the accuracy & quality of AOI/CMM recipes, and can understand how associated fixtures/PM schedule/clarity of operational procedure will impact reliability of AOI/CMM results and thus proposing idea to engineering team to continue to improve the process

2) be agile & and have good time management skill because this position supports production 40% of time, development/engineering 40% of time and drop-in requests 20% of time

3) have strong communication skill because this position will interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams, operation, production supervisors and vendors (occasionally)

4) enjoy troubleshooting, debugging process/tool issues, and propose/implement corrective actions to prevent same issues from occurring repetitively

5) be open to engineering suggestions/requests because this position will cover product from early development, alpha/beta, to high-volume manufacturing phases
