- Make reservations, plan out the seating chart, and troubleshoot customer phone inquiries
- Know the menu items and how dishes are prepared and be able to answer any questions about daily specials
- Clean up and clear plates after guests leave, and get the table ready for the next customers
- Direct customers to their seats, ensuring tables are set properly with enough tableware for each diner, water glasses are filled, and menus are sanitized
- Greet guests warmly as they enter to create a positive first impression of the restaurant
- Must be able to handle a fast-paced atmosphere with periods of standing on feet for an extended length of time
- Responsible for communicating politely with customers, skilled at organizing, and have the ability to troubleshoot customer requests or issues quickly, and efficiently
- Prior food services, or hospitality service industry experience is preferred but not required
- For this position, a high school diploma or the equivalent GED is needed, as well as a good understanding of how to speak and read English

Description
We're looking to hire an energetic and outgoing host/hostess with outstanding customer service skills. You'll need excellent communication skills to answer phone inquiries and make reservations. Your main duties include welcoming guests and guiding them to a table that has been cleared and cleaned.
