SALARY RANGE:

- $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 Annually

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Conceptualize and develop seasonal collections for toddler/baby clothing and accessories, including but not limited to tops, bottoms, dresses, outerwear, footwear, and accessories.
  • Stay updated on current fashion trends, color palettes, and fabrications relevant to the toddler/baby market.
  • Create mood boards, sketches, and design prototypes to present ideas effectively.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure designs align with brand aesthetic, target market, and product requirements.
  • Source and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and embellishments for each design.
  • Work closely with pattern makers and sample makers to oversee the product development process from concept to production.
  • Conduct market research and analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Attend trade shows, fashion events, and industry meetings to stay informed about emerging trends and technologies.
  • Maintain organized design files, including sketches, technical drawings, and sample swatches.
  • Communicate effectively with crossfunctional teams, including merchandising, production, and marketing, to ensure successful product launches.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Proven experience
  • 5 Years+ experience as a designer, with a focus on children's apparel preferred.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative and innovative designs for kids' clothing and accessories.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
  • Excellent understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of têxtiles, color theory, and print/pattern development.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
  • Passion for children's fashion and a genuine interest in understanding the needs and preferences of young consumers.
