    Compensation:
    Competitive, includes per diem mobilization and paid trips home


    Role Responsibilities:


    Provide engineering design for high-level waste (HLW) electrical systems and equipment across the entire facility, preparing for procurement and construction phases.

    Utilize SETROUTE, BlockDraw, and ETAP for detailed HLW design projects.
    Understand and interpret engineering discipline drawings and electrical diagrams, including control logic, system descriptions, and schematics.
    Perform system calculations and equipment sizing, and specify equipment needs while performing cable sizing calculations.
    Conduct special tasks, studies, and necessary checking as per project requirements.
    Apply relevant codes, standards, and customer design requirements to electrical design documents, specifications, and material requisitions.


    Basic Qualifications:
    Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and a comprehensive background check.
    Must obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to specific sites.
    US Citizenship required.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Proven experience in Electrical Engineering, including documentation for Conceptual, Preliminary, and Final Design.
    FE/EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
    Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (NFPA, ANSI/IEEE, etc.).
    Proficiency in electrical systems, schematics, and layout planning.
    Experienced in specifying electrical equipment and developing procurement documentation.
    Proficiency in industry-standard electrical design tools such as CAD 2D, ETAP, and Cable Management Systems.
    Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 1 year of related experience.
    Familiarity with corporate guides and standards.
    Experience in facility construction, start-up, and maintenance.
    Previous project experience with government or defense sectors.


    Job Types:
    Full-time, Contract


    Pay:
    $ $70.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week


    Schedule:
    10 hour shift
    Monday to Friday
