While this position could be located at either campus, our current need is for our Upper School campus providing support to the 9-12th grade students.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Assisting students both individually and in small-group settings by implementing evidence-based interventions to meet accommodations to support student learning profiles.
Serve as consulting support to faculty regarding learning differences and strategies to shore up strengths and to address weak areas with appropriate strategies, resources and accommodations.
Maintaining studentdata files, developing student learning profiles, and serving as a liaison between families and outside providers to coordinate care.
Design and maintain dynamic student learning support plans and guide teachers and parents to interpret and implement these plans.
Analyze neuropsych assessments and work with various teams (administrators, teachers, gradelevel) to design support plans accordingly.
Support Admissions, as needed, with transfer and new student applicant assessments and reading through students' admissions files to provide additional perspective
Tracking and supporting students with identified learning/attention differences in collaboration with faculty and administration.
Review caseload weekly with the gradelevel Deans and communicate needs and developments with students, families, faculty, and administration as requested and needed.
Ensure student access to needed standardized testing accommodations and coordinate schedule for the ERB for students with accommodations.
Responsible for supporting the offering of faculty professional development, both formally and informally, in the areas of learning differences and differentiated curriculum that best serves the student body
Organizing and leading Student Support Team (SST) meetings.
Examination planning, organization and management for students with learning accommodations, including proctoring and/or arranging for proctors for quiet space testing.
Researching and implementing best practices to support students and educate families regarding diagnosed learning needs.
Collaborating with the Counseling Department for students with both learning differences and socialemotional challenges.
Attend student/parent/faculty meetings as required.
Engaging in regular supervisory duties including drop off, recess, lunch and pick up (for K8 campus position)
Attending regular faculty, gradelevel, and weekly department meetings
Attend and participate in various school events as needed, including but not limited to: Open Houses, Curriculum Nights, Admissions events, assemblies and other special events
Being a positive and contributing member of the Bentley community
Communicating effectively with parents through conferences, and report writing
A passion for working with K12 students

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and/or Master's in elementary education or related field preferred
Certification in Educational Therapy or Bachelor's degree with demonstrated experience tutoring adolescents with diagnosed learning and/or attention disabilities.
Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in an interdisciplinary environment
Experience using neuropsychological evaluations, IEPs, and related educational assessment tools, to assist with interpretation of scores, allocation of accommodations and resources, and to inform work with students, teachers and families.
Experience and interest in ongoing experimentation with a range of assistive technology tools that can help students manage learning and attention chall
