JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Respiratory Therapist will collaborate within a dynamic team environment focused on growth and advancement, utilizing various scientific practices, therapies, and methods to enhance patient care and results.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Administers respiratory care services (including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, inhaled medication, airway clearance, ventilation, and spirometry) in coordination with the healthcare team and attending physician, ensuring care is delivered with excellence following established protocols. Provides CPR during emergencies. Adheres to policies such as infection control, HIPAA, and time and attendance.

Maintains a professional demeanor with colleagues and patients to foster a positive work environment and outcomes. Seeks opportunities for personal and professional growth in skills development.

Focuses on enhancing clinical care quality through continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

Sound knowledge of Respiratory Care practices, equipment, and medications. Ability to interpret protocols and directions accurately. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Proficient in various computer applications including data entry, medical documentation, and email usage.

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION: Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
- EXPERIENCE: Less than 1 year
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION: Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. Respiratory Care Practitioner license from the Texas Medical Board. Registered Respiratory Therapist certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
