Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Wilton food database with all required components for each new and existing food product or kit including international export requirements, allergens and sensitizers, production dates, kosher requirements, material content, etc.
  • Liaison between food vendors, consumer affairs and product management teams to obtain necessary information to support Customer Service, International and required food information print and electronic library databases.
  • Support product development by researching current laws pertaining to food and communicating issues affecting Wilton food products.
  • Create, review and/or revise nutrition facts panels and ingredient statements for all food products.
  • Serve as food consumer information specialist to answer consumer questions.
  • Consultant for Canadian/US food product nutrition label issues.
  • Assist with product ideation, testing and evaluation.
  • Perform media relations tasks such as preparation and dissemination of press releases, interviews, etc.

Education and Experience

  • A degree in Food, Nutrition, or related field required. Masters degree a plus. This position requires a minimum of 12 years of experience in a foodrelated position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Collaboration Skills: Is effective at working with crossfunctional teams, inclusive of Product Design, Innovation, Product Management, Sourcing, Engineering, Integrated Marketing, and Creative. Must be comfortable giving and taking critiques to ensure products are compliant and align with brand strategy.
  • Communication Skills: Communicates all pertinent facts related to a project, can pull from past experiences to relate, and are able to articulate key product information verbally and in written format

Required Software Knowledge:
Good PC/System skills including experience with Word and Excel. Working knowledge of Genesis to create nutrition and ingredient statements.


Physical Demands

  • Professional office environment, sedentary in nature.
  • Routinely use standard office equipment such as (laptop computers, monitors/keyboards, printers, and telephones). Processes information and communicate effectively with others.
