Essential Purpose:

To provide assistance to guests and hotel departments, to transport and deliver luggage, mail, and other items around hotel property, to ensure guest comfort and facilitate hotel operations.


Essential Duties:


  • To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • To follow all specified procedures to provide personal, sincere customer service to hotel guests, including greeting and orienting arriving guests; assisting guests to and from their rooms; picking up and delivering amenities, laundry, mail, parcels, and other requested items; giving directions; and assisting to arrange and provide guest transportation.
  • To assist with front office operations such as answering phones; making new guest keys; checking guests in; posting gift shop charges; and reviewing hotel inventory.
  • To maintain a clean driving record free and clear of any incidence of reckless driving, or excessive speeding citations and to provide, upon request, but no less than annually, a current DMV pull notice to the Front Office Manager.
  • To assist hotel departments, as requested, including mail and parcel delivery.
  • To actively promote the hotel's services and facilities to visiting guests.
  • To follow all policies and procedures of the Front Desk department and Temecula Creek Inn.
  • To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
  • To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
  • To practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others.
  • To comply with company and departmental safety rules and regulations, including the proper handling of all relevant equipment.
  • To attend all mandatory meetings, as directed.
  • To perform other tasks, including crosstraining, as directed.

Requirements:


Knowledge + Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. English fluency required. Must have minimum one year experience in same position at a hotel of comparable quality. Strong basic math skills required. Must have some computer experience. Must display knowledge of currently accepted business telephone etiquette.


Skills:

Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Safety-minded. High

quality standards for service. Diplomatic and calm. Strong verbal communications

skills. Courteous, friendly, and professional manner. Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.


Physical Demands:

Stands and walks moderate to long distances throughout shift. Frequently required to handle and move objects weighing up to 75 lbs. over moderate to long distances, using hands, trucks or carts. Bends, stoops, pushes, pulls, reaches and lifts to perform routine job tasks. Periodically required to work at a very fast pace, under pressure. Flexibility and good reflexes required to operate electric carts.
