Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team at Bel Vista Healthcare Center as a Part-Time Activities Assistant.
- Time will include weekends and some week days as needed with the opportunity to move up to our Activities Director position in July

Position Overview:
As a Part-Time Activities Assistant, you will work closely with our Activities Director to plan, organize, and implement a diverse range of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for our residents.
From group outings and themed events to arts and crafts sessions and fitness classes, you will have the opportunity to spark joy and create memorable experiences for those we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of engaging activity programs that cater to the unique interests and abilities of our residents.
- Facilitate group activities, games, and discussions to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Provide oneonone support and encouragement to residents who may require individualized attention.
- Collaborate with other staff members to integrate activities into residents' care plans and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of participation and feedback to assess the effectiveness of activities and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation therapy, gerontology, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with seniors or individuals with special needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patientcentered approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and adapt to the needs of diverse individuals.
- Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings and weekends as needed.
