Software Developer (m/f/d) for Internal Tools

Identification: RDC-BD-DI
Location: Paderborn

We are looking for a new team member to join our international Scrum team, which provides virtual machines (VMs) for Windows and Linux as part of the continuous integration process. Additionally, the team is responsible for administering the servers necessary for the VMs.

Your task will be to test the process for automated VM deployment and the functionality of base VMs in their operating environment.

You will work with current methods that control the management of VMs, such as distribution through Terraform, maintenance through Ansible, and orchestration through Kubernetes. The operating environment of the VMs consists of Azure DevOps, Git, Artifactory, and many other tools used in integration processes.

Your tasks

  • Quality assurance for the automated creation, distribution, and updates of VMs (Windows and Linux)
  • Development of fully automated compatibility tests for VMs in their operating environment
  • Supporting colleagues in using the provided VMs

Your profile

  • Completed degree in computer science or a related field, or a very good completed apprenticeship as an application development specialist (m/f/d) or a state-certified computer scientist (m/f/d), or
