    ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

    Wind River has an excellent opportunity for a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Analyst.

    This position will answer the Service Desk phone as well as manage desktop-related support issues. Interfaces with end-users and assists the IT organization in troubleshooting of server and network components. This position will allow for participation in global support and projects, providing an opportunity for the individual to work with colleagues from around the world.

    • The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and IT senior management to implement an ongoing technology roadmap to support cyber operations and integrate new technologies into the overall architecture.
    • With global responsibilities, the candidate will work and collaborate with client groups across the company to enhance Wind River's cyber security posture.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Deploy and configure Amazon WorkSpaces environments based on organizational requirements.
    • Set up user profiles, desktop images, and application bundles.
    • Manage user access and permissions to WorkSpaces.
    • Provide support for user onboarding and offboarding processes.
    • Monitor the performance of WorkSpaces environments and troubleshoot issues.
    • Optimize configurations for performance and cost efficiency.
    • Implement and maintain security measures for WorkSpaces environments.
    • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
    • Manage software updates and patches for WorkSpaces desktops.
    • Schedule maintenance activities to minimize user impact.
    • Integrate WorkSpaces with other AWS services as needed.
    • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
    • Maintain documentation for WorkSpaces configurations, policies, and procedures.
    • Provide training and documentation for end-users as necessary.
    • Provide technical support to end-users for WorkSpaces-related issues.
    • Collaborate with AWS support as needed to resolve complex problems.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • 6+ years of experience with Amazon WorkSpaces and other relevant AWS services, including: VPC, security groups, ec2, and more.
    • AWS Certified Advanced Networking or similar certifications are a plus.
    • 4-year bachelor's degree (Engineering, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance, Project Management, or like discipline) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience.
    • Experience with desktop virtualization technologies and concepts.
    • Familiarity with protocols such as PCoIP and WorkSpaces Streaming Protocol (WSP).
    • Familiarity with Active directory, GPO's and Ldap.
    • Experience with Windows, Ubuntu firewall configuration and maintenance.
    • Understanding of security best practices for cloud-based desktop environments.
    • Experience implementing encryption, access controls, and identity management.
    • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform.
    • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
    • Strong communication skills to interact with end-users, management, and other IT teams.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
    • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential problems.
    • Must be able to satisfy ITAR compliance requirements (i.e, US person).

    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

    • Familiarity with PAN firewall
    • Experience with Okta Radius configuration and maintenance.
    • Ability to configure and maintain CICD pipelines to manage VDI environment.

    *Varies by region and country Compensation The annual base salary range for this role's listed grade level is currently $73,200 to $98,820 plus a bonus for Colorado, New York, and New Jersey residents, and $90,200 to $121,840 plus a bonus for SF Bay Area, Greater Seattle, NYC, and Washington, DC, residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays. #LI-AL1
