Job Purpose


The Sales Counselor is responsible for achieving maximum occupancy and total revenue potential of the community by attracting qualified prospects and converting those prospects into Residents.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for nurturing qualified leads through entire sales process from inquiry to movein.
  • Responsible for community outreach with primary goal of generating qualified referrals.
  • Regularly meets goals, including but not limited to: moveins, inquiries, tours, home visits, phone calls, outreach and events.
  • Responds to inquiries, scheduled visits, conducts tours and closes sales per sales and marketing goals.
  • Conducts daily and weekly review of closing strategies for prospects in the pipeline.
  • Ensures CRM is being utilized for all internal and external sales activities.
  • Participates in scheduled sales calls.
  • Works collaboratively with Sales Director, Executive Director and other department heads to create a positive hospitalityoriented atmosphere for all Team members and residents.
  • Gives exceptional customer service to residents and visitors, from providing a pleasant greeting to maintaining professionalism and composure in more challenging situations.
  • Recognizes and fosters a salesoriented culture by participating in and contributing toward the sales and marketing efforts of the community, including assisting at events when needed.
  • Completes all departmentalrelated reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Works collaboratively with department heads to emphasize the team's role in sales.
  • Attends and actively contributes relevant departmental information at daily Stand-Up Meeting.
  • Attends and actively participates in companyhosted webinars, onsite meetings, regional meetings, and national meetings as scheduled.
  • Completes in a timely manner all required trainings to maintain appropriate certifications and credentials for position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3 years sales/marketing experience with a proven track record.
  • Excellent customer service and public relations skills.
  • Creative, energetic, enthusiastic, patient, flexible, encouraging and teamoriented personality.
  • Desire to serve older adults.
  • Effective problemsolving skills.
  • Creative approach to achieving goals.
  • Promotes the community in a positive manner and effectively communicates with residents, families, professionals, visitors, and Team members.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office and other marketingrelated software.
  • College degree preferred.

Working Conditions
This position works in a professional office environment. The Sales Counselor routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

The Sales Counselor also works within the Senior Living Community, where there may be possible exposure to communicable diseases and infection, potential injury from transferring, repositioning, or lifting residents, exposure to latex, possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens, possible exposure to various chemical, infectious, or biological hazards, and possible exposure to pets.

Occasional weekend, evening or night work may be necessary to maintain critical business operations
