Teacher Duties and Responsibilities:

The faculty and staff at PHS have the exciting opportunity to help develop traditions in both the curriculum and extracurricular activities.

• Transformative Teaching and Learning: projectbased learning (PBL), flipped classroom, crosscurricular planning, and blended learning
• Participate in provided professional development during summer and throughout the school year
• Be active in school community and events (club sponsors, sports, etc)
• Focus 45 embedded into the weekly schedule: enrichment, tutoring, activities, club meetings, advisory, facilitator office hours available for student support
• Standardsbased teaching with the flexibility to develop curriculum
• Cultivate a hunger for knowledge among students and engage them to learn
• Focus on the whole student

- academics AND social/emotional learning, including the soft skills needed for long term success beyond high school

• Communicate with parents weekly/update grades weekly
• Keep accurate daily attendance
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and professional development
• Connect with community partners to provide meaningful learning opportunities

Teacher Requirements and Qualifications:

• Florida Stateissued teaching certification
• Keeps a positive attitude
• Good classroom management
• Deep knowledge of content standards, effective instructional strategies, and data driven instruction.

• Strong organizational skills
• A passion for learning and sharing your knowledge with others

• Preferred: Google Apps for Education skills (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, etc)

Pay:
From $48,500.00 per year
