Canyon Ridge Hospital is currently seeking a compassionate and talented
Licensed Vocational Nurse/Psychiatric Technician to join our team.

Canyon Ridge Hospital has serviced the Greater Inland Empire since 1989. Canyon Ridge is a 157-bed acute, locked psychiatric facility offering services to adolescents ages 13-17, adults and older adults.

We believe in an individualized, patient-focused approach to diagnosis and treatment.

For some, anxiety or drug dependence looks different from others with the same diagnoses, and in some cases, behavioral health and substance use disorders occur simultaneously.

In these cases of dual diagnosis, we treat the patients in the best way possible given their specific needs.


LVNs are responsible for delivering quality direct patient care under appropriate clinical supervision, to children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with psychiatric or emotional disorders; to serve actively and constructively as a member of the hospital's multi-disciplinary treatment team, and support the hospital's program philosophy of care.

Qualifications:

Position Requirements:

  • Possess current, valid California LVN or PT license.
  • BLS from the American Red Cross or The American Heart Association
  • Position requires written and oral communication skills
  • Legible handwriting
  • Ability to interact effectively with clinical team and other staff
  • Organizational, problemsolving and time management skills
  • Empathy for patients and their families
  • Flexibility
  • Telephone etiquette and customer service skills for phone and facetoface contacts
  • Skills in basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the adult psychiatric population
  • Thorough familiarity of psychopharmacology and the use of psychotropic medications within children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population
  • In the absence of these skills upon hire, must demonstrate ability to learn these concepts and develop these skills within reasonable time frame via organization's orientation and training program
  • Must be currently CPR certified through American Heart Association only
