Description
Must have skills in all facets of support of client software and hardware. This position requires support of peripherals and other computer accessories.

The staff member(s) within this position must be capable of in-house repair of equipment out of warranty (i.e., replacement of power supplies, RAM, hard drive, motherboards, fans, etc.).

Must have experience with imaging/deploying/maintaining a large number of computers, experience with most recent versions of:
OS X, IOS, Chrome OS and MS-Windows.

Familiar with standard concepts, best-practices, and procedures within this particular field.

Specific areas of responsibilities are as follows:

Hardware:
Security monitoring with remote tools (VNC, ARD-Apple Remote Desktop, VPN, etc.)

Use remote mtg software:
Zoom, WebEx, Meet, etc.
Management of technology inventory to include printers, projectors, Apple TVs, bulbs, toner, Interactive Flat Panel Displays, Smart Boards, etc.
Implementing solutions, explaining, and training users as needed.
Must be available for Computer Imaging done in the summer and as needed throughout the year.
Responsible for managing deployment of staff and student (MLTI) devices, as well as, monitoring and returning warrantied hardware for repair & redeploy upon their returnProcess annual student device updates, new year preparation (imaging) and staff equipment replacement (when/if necessary)

Software:

Operating Systems mastery of installation, configuration, and troubleshooting Applications software must have mastery of installation, configuration, and troubleshootingMust be well adapted at supporting technical staff, district staff, students, administrators and the general public with technical issues relating to softwareCommunication: Communicate with students and staff at all levels to present them the best possible technological solutionsCommunicate with coworkers from the Technology Department to work out the best solutions in a timely mannerAssist in the development, implementation and support of the student and staff technology standardsAssist the District throughout the year in all areas of technology, must attend the InfoTech monthly mtgs, staff mtgs, etc.

Maintain positive and productive relations with all staff members and all customers.


Organizational Skills:
Utilize time management skills by setting priorities for maximum efficiencyAdhere to the priorities set by goals, strategies and objectives: The Districts mission and long-term plansThe Technology Departments Technology PlanShort-term priorities as disseminated by the Director of Information TechnologyMaintain an organized approach to device management so that end user time without device and loss of their work is minimized Work with all applicable parties to submit timely insurance claims for insured devices and to track repair fees for student (family) billing as necessaryAble to manage, troubleshoot and research questions and inquiries as posed by end users

Quality Control:
Continue expanding skills and capabilities within the field of technology in order to present the district with the best possible servicesAttend regular Technology Department meetings to assist with the elimination of duplicated efforts, problem solve and research to help maximize the options the department presents and to yield the optimal solutions based on full-staff knowledge and inputProfessionalism: Interact with users and stakeholders via meetings such as InfoTech Team Meetings, Make sure that all efforts are made to address the needs of the users


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Must have the ability to move about between district locations and/or inside/outside the vehicle. Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.

The ability to create and maintain positive relations and work collegially with school personnel, and citizens, and to collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders to maintain high quality of services.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The person in this position must have the ability to effectively communicate accurate information to staff and community members. Ability to conduct research in order to troubleshoot technology issues.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Frequent travel required within and outside of district.
Additional duties as required by the District.


USE OF EQUIPMENT:
Must be able to utilize all types of office equipment, such as computers, printers, copiers, projectors, etc

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work year determined by the RSU #14 School Board
