Job Purpose:

As inventory clerk, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our company's inventory management system.

Your responsibilities will include fulfilling work orders, inbound receiving, tracking inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, and replenishing stock as needed.

You'll collaborate closely with various departments to maintain accurate records and improve inventory processes. Additionally, you'll be tasked with identifying discrepancies, investigating variances, and providing detailed reports to management. Strong organizational skills and clear communication are key to excelling in this role.


Essential Functions:


  • Execute inventory movements and ensure the accuracy of all system record updates
  • Fulfill requests to issue materials for work orders and distribute them to the production assembly line
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills to identify potential system/process risks to perpetual inventory
  • Take a central role in daily inventory management and ERP record upkeep
  • Utilize ERP system daily for precise product management within the warehouse
  • Establish a framework to support operational tasks, safeguarding the accuracy of system records
  • Contribute to the transformation of the Inventory Control function by improving existing processes
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and uphold the data integrity of ERP software for material locations and capacity
  • Report on discrepancies in inventory between physical counts and system records
  • Monitor inventory levels and provide reports to the Supply Chain department
  • Participate in and contribute to process improvement initiatives and objectives
  • Manage large volumes of data using Microsoft Excel
  • Assist in receiving inbound materials and processing receipts
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

Skills/Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 35+ years' experience in material control and physical inventory maintenance
  • Experience with warehouse inventory stocking, receipt processing
  • 1+ years' experience working in a team lead capacity
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand 8+ hours a day
  • Operate forklift
  • Ability to multitask, to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking skills to establish action plans and routinely assess their effectiveness
  • Moderate computer skills
  • Must be a selfstarter with energy, drive, and determination to accomplish goals.
  • Should have basic knowledge of inventory cost accounting
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, supply chain/operations practices, and accounting principles
  • Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets
  • Experience with perpetual inventory maintenance a must
  • Microsoft EXCEL skills required
  • Strong emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to translate analysis into actionable insight

Salary Range:
$ $22.00 Hourly
