What You Can Expect


As our Billing Resolution Advisor, you will oversee a range of responsibilities, including supporting and managing our product portfolio, understanding relevant tax regulations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and addressing customer concerns affecting billing accuracy.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing essential billing operations within independent and cross-functional team projects, as well as collaborating with our external billing vendor to ensure timely, accurate, and properly recorded revenue, financial reporting, and data integrity.

This position is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Revenue Assurance Director.

  • Manage tasks impacting contract pricing, accounting, financial reporting, and data integrity with accuracy and timeliness
  • Represent the billing team in projects involving system enhancements, product development, and market changes
  • Review and approve control reports to ensure adherence to processes and controls
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for projects related to system enhancements, product development, and market changes.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of retail C&I energy operations and regulatory standards to provide analysis and insights to project stakeholders

What You'll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field
  • A minimum of seven (7) years' of retail energy, or renewables energy industry where you gained experience understanding Accounting concepts, direct billing or reconciliation techniques
  • You are productive and efficient, with a fast turnaround time
  • You have the ability to use multiple data systems effectively
  • You have a working knowledge of market Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions
  • You possess billing or operations experience in multiple markets
  • You are proficient in SQL, macros, MS Access, and various BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and Python for data discovery
  • You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation

Salary Range:
$112,000 - $165,375 USD annually

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus
