Here's what you can expect:

The new program combines vocational training with university studies.
Students will receive a professional and interdisciplinary qualification to support mothers and their partners through guidance, promotion, counseling, and instruction.
The interdisciplinary structure includes core competencies of midwifery as well as a variety of preventive and healthpromoting topics.
Midwifery and health science knowledge are integral parts of the program.
A valuable collaboration with either the University of Rostock or the University of Lübeck.

Here's what you'll need:

Good health
General or specialized university entrance qualification (Abitur)
Applicants without Abitur have the opportunity to take an entrance exam, please include proof of passing the exam with your application
A minimum of four weeks of internship in a relevant field of midwifery (e.g. delivery room, postpartum unit, freelance midwife). The internship can be completed in one go or in sections, but a total of 4 x 38.5 hours must be proven.
Legally required proof of immunization against measles
