Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contact third party payer to verify benefits and eligibility dates.
- Gather information regarding other pending claims on account.
- Followup on accounts by contacting thirdparty payers via telephone/mail for payment status, according to schedule of disposition to be worked on given days.
- Researches, identifies, and rectifies any special circumstances affecting resolution of patient accounts.
- Update patient accounts in system with any action taken or additional information attained when verifying benefits.
- Adheres to all established company policies and departmental procedures. Remains current on Federal and State regulations and statues that influence collections of receivables.
- Performs other duties as assigned by managing supervisor.
- Must follow HIPPA guidelines.
