    Description
    Overview

    The Human Resources Intern is responsible for assisting in various tasks and responsibilities within the HR department. Some of these responsibilities include recruitment support, onboarding, HR administration, and contributing to HR projects and initiatives. The HR Intern will report directly to the HR Generalist.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    • Support the "Cavender's Culture" and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values
    • Assist with new hire orientation and integration of new team members
    • Assist in with job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication
    • Assist in the management of Cavender's LinkedIn account
    • Assist in gathering and analyzing HR data to identify trends, support decision-making, and improve HR processes
    • Assist in HRIS projects as needed
    Qualifications and Requirements
    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • A great attitude and willingness to learn and ask questions
    • High integrity with the ability to represent Cavender's in a highly respectful and positive manner
    • High degree of confidentiality
    • Ability to interpret documents
    • Ability to understand the meanings of words and effectively respond
    • Ability to comprehend complex issues and communicate
    • Based in Tyler, TX at our home office
    • Some travel required
    Preferred Skills
    • Possesses excellent problem solving, critical thinking, presentation and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Action oriented with ability to prioritize and drive results.
    • Ability to work individually on a project or within a team environment.
