The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are looking for you to join our 3-year apprenticeship program as a train driver (railway employee in operational service for train drivers and transportation) (m/f/d) at DB Regio AG in Bamberg. The vocational school is located in Nuremberg.
What to expect in your apprenticeship:
  • You will learn how to shunt, prepare and drive trains in regular operation and in case of deviations from regular operation
  • Rules for safe and smooth railway operation
  • Identifying and fixing vehicle malfunctions
  • You will ensure that our trains are safely, punctually and reliably ready for our customers at the station
Your profile:
  • You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) school with at least a qualifying secondary school leaving certificate
  • You enjoy working with technology
  • You remain calm and keep an overview even in difficult situations
  • You are not afraid to take responsibility and make decisions
  • Working on weekends and holidays is not a problem for you
