    Description

    Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP has an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal to join our Business Department in our Philadelphia office. Supporting our Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions and Venture Capital and Emerging Companies practices, the Paralegal will perform substantive work on complex corporate matters. Our Business Department attorneys tackle cutting edge transactions and deliver creative, forward-thinking solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, drafting and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as a member of a fast-paced team.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Coordinating with attorneys on all aspects of M&A transactions, venture capital and emerging company formation, governance and financing matters, commercial contract drafting, and securities law matters;
    • Preparing legal documents and correspondence;
    • Drafting, filing, organizing, and maintaining business entity documents;
    • Conducting due diligence, performing legal research and analysis, and other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of paralegal experience; corporate/transactional experience in-house or in a law firm strongly preferred;
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational and problem-solving skills;
    • ability to handle significant volume with competing deadlines;
    • with the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn law firm specific software as needed; experience with iManage or similar document management system a plus;
    • Degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred.
