What You'll Get to Do:
You will support NAVSEA in the areas of deck and mission systems, including cranes, ramps, hatches, winches, mooring, and boat handling systems.
early-stage concept formulation, modeling and simulation, advanced control systems design, man/hardware-in-the-loop simulator development, prototype preliminary design, and oversee laboratory and at-sea testing.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
PHD in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college
20+ years of experience with ship deck systems
Experience using simulation software including Simulink and MatLab
Experience with Active Motion-Compensation Technology
Demonstrated ability to lead a group of engineers on a project
Experience with Military Sealift Command ships
US
Citizen with a Secret Clearance or Secret Clearance eligibility
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in English
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
CAD modeling experience
Experience utilizing
USNavy Deck Systems design standards
Experience with Naval combatants
