    Description

    JNS-SmithChem LLC is a specialty chemical distributor, headquartered in New Jersey, with a commitment to providing exceptional technical solutions throughout the Eastern US and parts of Canada. JNS-SmithChem CheMarCo Division is seeking an experienced technical sales representative for the Georgia/Western Tennessee territory. The qualified candidate will be responsible for maintaining and expanding existing business and developing new business opportunities in the Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers (CASE), plastics, graphic arts, and other related markets.

    Job Expectation:

    · Managing and growing current accounts through consultative selling, as well as prospecting for new accounts, by ascertaining customer needs, introducing new products, and identifying long-term company goals.

    · Provide prompt and persistent follow-up for customer and supplier requests.

    · Must be able to assess the competitive landscape, devise and implement business plans, identify targets, and have a high rate of closed business.

    · Communication with all levels of a customer organization is expected. Excellent listening skills needed to ascertain the customer's needs and priorities to suggest solutions.

    · All members of the sales team are required to participate in local societies or chapters relating to the market segments covered.

    Experience:

    Preferred candidate will have a college degree in a technical discipline and 5+ years working for a chemical manufacturer or distributor. Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbal and written for communication through Microsoft and CRM platforms.

    We offer a competitive salary plus uncapped bonus, an established territory, a car allowance and travel expenses, plus benefits such as medical and 401(k). Overnight travel is required.
