Storyliving by Disney Finance team is seeking a Manager, Finance to fill a newly created role as we launch our exciting new business.
The Walt Disney Company launched Storyliving by Disney to develop vibrant new neighborhoods infused with the Company's special brand of magic.
These master-planned communities are intended to inspire residents to cultivate new friendships, pursue their interests and write the next exciting chapter in their lives—all while enjoying the attention to detail, unique amenities and special touches that are Disney hallmarks.
The Manager, Finance, leads the finance team supporting the home sales organization and community operations beginning with Cotino in Rancho Mirage, CA.
This position is located in the Celebration, Florida, reporting to the Director, Storyliving by Disney Finance and will lead two direct reports.
What You Will Do
- Lead revenue planning and forecasting for home sales, including validation of Disney revenue streams
- Lead financial planning for Cotino operations including the private club, public beach, town center commercial, and project and homeowners associations
- Supervise all community association and club budgets, ensuring compliance with all state and local regulations
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Cotino Operations to ensure accurate financial practices, reporting, and analysis
- Manage the relationship with thirdparty service providers (e.g., association finance support, private club and association billing and collections)
- Lead the creation and production of weekly and monthly reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Establish a calendar of deliverables to ensure achievements are met and resources are used efficiently
- Provide leadership, guidance, and development to two direct reports
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in Finance or related area
- Proven track record of positive leadership skills with an ability to inspire the team and adapting to meet the needs of the business and environment
- Ability to influence and lead across all levels of organization in a collaborative environment
- Proven ability to synthesize financial information into a concise story and communicate it effectively, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to get results through a proactive approach to problem solving, strong detail orientation, meet deadlines while balancing multiple priorities, and great partnership skills
- Passion for transforming traditional Finance functions through technology and automation
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
