    Description
    Our client, one of the largest banks in the US with wealth management, investment banking, and international business, is seeking an User Experience Designer

    Location: Jersey City, NJ
    Position Type: Contract

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for ensuring products provide a meaningful and relevant experience to users.
    • Leads research projects, synthesizes findings and articulates user needs, creates wireframes, concepts, sketches and user flows, and conducts usability testing.
    • Creates user-centered, simple and moderns designs and ensures the solution aligns to enterprise brand and accessibility standards. Develops an understanding of user needs to help create a solution.
    • With some guidance, prepares for and performs user research to derive insights and add context.
    • Synthesizes the user research data to identify improvements in software or processes.
    • Advocates for the user, grounding ideas in data-driven solutions.
    • Acts on partner feedback, business requirements, and user testing results.
    • Creates and communicates detailed wireframes, information architecture diagrams, mental models, site maps, user flow and hi/low fidelity prototypes.
    • Collaborates with other Experience Designers to drive the design vision.
    • Knowledgeable of the banks brand and effectively applies the brand to visual designs.
    • Ensures that the solution in development aligns to best practices, brand consistency, and standards including accessibility.
    • Collaborates with the development team to ensure designs are feasible to implement and subsequently implemented accurately.
    • Conducts concept and usability testing and synthesizes the results to validate and improve solution design. Individual contributor.

    Skills and Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a UX expert role
    • Agile - nice to have but will be trained if not fully mature
    • Design and Architecture
    • Ability to work with PC computer if Mac is unavailable
    • Sketch
    • Invision / Freehand
    • Proficiency in Jira
    • Ability to collaborate across teams
    • Knowledgeable on accessibility through ADA guidelines Design and Architecture
    • Finance industry knowledge
