Description

Broadmead and its affiliates Friends Care, serve approximately 500 older adults through a life plan community (CCRC), located on a 94 -acre campus and through home and community-based programs.

Broadmead partners with Gilchrist to operate an outpatient physician clinic, and in conjunction with Johns Hopkins has created two Centers of Excellence in Health and Wellness and Dementia Care.

Broadmead is successfully completing a rolling 5-year strategic plan, which includes eight strategic goals, most of which involve a workgroup and a wide range of objectives to achieve the goals.


The goals are:
1.) Exceptional Culinary and Hospitality Services, 2.) Employer of Choice, 3.) Innovative Technology, 4.) Diversity-Equity-Inclusion, 5.) Sustainability, 6.) Philanthropy, 7.) Expansion and Affiliation, and 8.) Exceptional and Innovative Health Services.
The VP of Human Resources is responsible for the overall strategic management, administration, coordination, and evaluation of the HR function serving Broadmead and its related entities


Oversee:
HR team, department budgets, and policy development.

Direct and coordinate human resource activities such as talent management, employee relations, compensation, performance management, benefits, team member development, and team member services.


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Master's Degree (MS) in Human Resources or related field


  • SCP

  • Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) Certification or PHR/SPHR (HRCI) Certification
  • 15+ Years progressive Human Resource leadership experience required. Proven track record of cultural transformation management
  • Competencies: Problem Solving, Customer Service, Interpersonal, Leadership, Planning/Organizing, Professionalism, Adaptability, Dependability, Initiative, Innovation, Computer and Technical skills
  • Knowledge of HRIS, ATS, talent management, benefits administration, retirement plan management and compliance, Diversity Equity, Inclusion and Belonging programs, performance management, leadership development, worker's compensation, unemployment, compensation management, and payroll.

  • Oversee the Human Resource function performance through the evaluation, planning, development, organization, and implementation of short term and long-term strategic objectives in support of community and Employer of Choice goals.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of Human Resources

Key initial requirements include:

  • Implement a performance management review process including the education of Supervisors.
  • Report dashboard data that analyzes trends related to recruitment, retention and turnover rates, compliance education requirements, compensation, and performance management.
  • Develop leaders within Broadmead by providing learning and development opportunities.
  • Oversee the team member scholarship programs managing within approved budgets.
  • Develop effective internal communications to create an environment where team members maintain a sense of community, focus on the greater good and exhibit the behaviors of a great place to work. Oversees the management of the We Care Connect stay interview process.
  • Manage, evaluate, and implement a comprehensive compensation strategy. Analyze wage and salary data to determine competitive compensation plans.
  • Implement appropriate corrective action and grievance procedures and ensure those policies or procedures do not alter the employmentatwill relationship or constitute a contract or promise. Conduct investigations and provide recommendations on all grievances including discrimination and harassment issues to minimize legal exposure. Be proactive in identifying employee relations issues and problems and take initiative in developing appropriate action plans.
  • Oversee, maintain, and analyze the data integrity within the HRIS system (UKG). Utilize technology to extract information that meets the community's needs and is in compliance with all local, state and federal governing bodies regarding labor laws.
  • Provide oversight and management of team member benefit program, Worker's Compensation, Unemployment, Retirement Plan, and FMLA cases to ensure regular and frequent collaboration with Department Directors and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Provide leadership in defining, communicating, and promoting the preferred Broadmead culture including Employer of Choice goals.
  • Manage the annual review and facilitate changes to the Team Member Handbook.
