Description
We are currently seeking a Head of Grid Engineering for a national utilities company located in Southern Germany. In this role, you will oversee EPC and external suppliers for various exciting projects in the region.

Your main responsibilities will include conducting feasibility studies, managing grid connection applications, analyzing connection offers, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

You will also engage with stakeholders, support due diligence activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our grid connection processes.


Key Responsibilities:
Conduct feasibility studies to determine available connection capacity for renewable energy projects.
Collaborate with network operators (DNOs, TSOs) to gather market intelligence and maintain project viability.
Analyze grid connection offers, mitigate risks, and achieve cost-efficient connections.
Monitor project compliance with grid offer milestones and regulations, engaging with relevant stakeholders.
Support partnerships from a grid perspective to ensure project viability.
Advise management on grid connection costs, scope, and technical aspects.
Manage grid reports, trackers, and documentation for project reporting.
Collaborate with consultants, ICPs, and OEMs to ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
Stay updated on relevant policies and communicate them to the team.
Support due diligence activities for potential project acquisitions.
Utilize power system software for electrical power system studies.
