SummaryAs a Senior Event Production Director, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating large-scale events. Your expertise lies in leading cross-functional teams, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the seamless execution of memorable experiences.If you thrive in a dynamic environment and have a passion for creating exceptional events, this role is for you.
This position will support our Audio Visual & Event Technology team and is eligible to work a remote schedule.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Event Planning and Execution:
Monitor the progress of planning and execution tasks related to the event. Collaborate closely with the host/client to understand their vision and preferences for event organization. Serve as a bridge between the event and external stakeholders.
Staff Management and Training:
Oversee recruitment and intensive training of event staff. Ensure the team is well-prepared for executing events effectively.
Budget Management:
Manage budgets exceeding $1M, ensuring cost-effective event delivery. Negotiate contracts with vendors to achieve significant cost savings.
Logistics Coordination:
Lead logistics, including design, décor, furnishings, AV, technology, catering, and transportation. Develop an event management plan for coordinating and training personnel.
Policy Development:
Create guidelines to ensure proper event execution, considering that you can't be everywhere at once
External Representation:
Act as the face of the event when interacting with attendees, sponsors and media platforms. Foster strong relationships with external bodies.
Safety and Risk Management:
Create comprehensive plan ensuring appropriate risk mitigation inclusive of back up logistics and vendor service level agreements. Enforce all safety and PPE regulations are met and documented. Ensure all safety training is complete by event staff.
Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Event Management or related field and (10) years experience working in progressive key roles producing events or equivalent combination of experience and education is required Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) is advantageous Travel RequirementsTravel 25% to 50%What We OfferFreeman provides benefits that aim to empower our people and their families to thrive mentally, physically, and financially.
