- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience working for a Durable Medical Equipment company or relevant medical office experience preferred
- Basic understanding of medical insurance benefits
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read and understand medical documentation
- Knowledge of DME equipment, insurance regulations, medical terminology, and billing processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Self-motivated with initiative and a steady level of productivity
- Willingness to work weekends, overtime, or on-call rotation schedule as needed

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm
Pay Rate: $16/hr
The Intake Specialist is responsible for gathering patient demographic and insurance information, handling co-pays, verifying insurance benefits, and obtaining prior authorizations. They interact professionally with medical staff and patients, schedule appointments, manage referrals, and review medical records for necessity. Communication with the sales team and reporting to management is essential. They also handle other assigned tasks and projects.
