    Description

    NO NIGHTS NO WEEKENDS NO HOLIDAYS Do you love your job as a Cook, but hate the hours? This is the position for you The East Side Cafe, located at the Nationwide building in Scottsdale Arizona is seeking a line cook for their operations. Great working environment, with advancement opportunities.

    COMPETITIVE WAGES, 401K WITH COMPANY MATCH

    Line Cook is primarily responsible for preparing and cooking foods according to recipes and procedures per restaurant/outlet specifications.

    Essential Functions:

    • Confer with the manager on duty about the prep list to determine the requirements of the day.
    • Follow company recipes and procedures when preparing or cooking food.
    • Work in a clean, efficient, and organized manner.
    • Audit guest checks to be certain all food items are rung up properly.
    • Maintain a high standard of hygiene and appearance.
    • Assist with controlling costs and waste.
    • Observe good sanitation and safety procedures.
    • Maintain a sense of ownership with respect to kitchen equipment.
    • Work effectively and professionally with other departments of the restaurant.
    • Assist in opening/closing duties and clean-up work as required.
    • Other duties requested by management.

    These physical demands represent the physical requirements necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the described essential functions of this position.

    1. Must be able to move/transport a weight of 25lbs

    2. Must be able to remain stationary for a period of 8 hours

    3. Must communicate effectively

    Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

    1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred

    2. Prior experience as a cook in a full-service restaurant preferred

    3. Ability to work well with others

    4. Ability to follow direction
