Description
The Center of Excellence in Energy (COE) at The School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering seeks a highly motivated and dynamic Project Coordinator to facilitate the planning and coordination of activities of the COE.
Arizona State University (ASU-US) has established the Center of Excellence for Energy (COE) in Egypt with funding and support from USAID.
The COE project is a partnership between ASU-US and three Egyptian partner universities (EPUs):Ain Shams University, Mansoura University, and Aswan University.
The Project Coordinator will work closely and collaboratively with the director and the COE operation staff to organize the director's and the COE's activities, setup meetings, assist the director with the COE tasks, lead the visitors and exchange program activities, and assist with various operations of the center.

Salary Range

Essential Duties
- Oversee daily operations and coordinates activities of program; determines priorities.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders, leadership, and other related staff to define and identify all required project infrastructure including, but not limited to: space, build/reconfiguration of facilities, equipment, technology and infrastructure to ensure timely availability for successful launch and ongoing project operations.
- Help with the project reports, Provide executive support for the director, maintain multiple calendars and COE Director's schedule.
- Coordinate and arrange domestic and international travel arrangements for the director.
- Prepare with reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
- Assist with interactions with international partners.
- Prepare agendas, send invites, and plan arrangements for luncheons, committee meetings, and other meetings and events
Visiting Scholars program:
- Work with center staff and stakeholders to develop visiting scholars and exchange program timeline.
- Provide updates on progress as required to center leadership and submit progress reports as needed.
- Develop call for applicants including eligibility criteria; selection criteria and process; and timeline for announcement; coordinate stakeholder review
Orientations and events
- Organize and plan programmatic events and activities such as orientations: arrange venues, coordinate with other departments and groups as needed for speakers and resources, coordinate vendors and staff, inform attendees and track RSVPs, and manage events and activities inperson
- Create and distribute schedules and event reminders
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience coordinating project activities
- Experience in developing and maintaining cooperative and collaborative working relationships among team members.
- Experience organizing tasks, responsibilities and outcomes; documenting activities and tracking progress.
- Experience preparing and summarizing project budgets.
- Evidence of a CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management): Equivalent of 1 year of project management experience.
- Evidence of a PMP (Project Management Professional): Equivalent of 2 years of project management experience. Evidence of a PgMP (Program Management Professional): Equivalent of 4 years of project management experience.
Working Environment
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer, bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties.
- Regular review of completed tasks.
