- Our team consists of engineers responsible for specifying, designing, developing, integrating, and testing instrumentation and control (I&C) systems for US Navy submarines.
- Cybersecurity engineers support the development and maintenance of shipboard equipment for various submarine platforms in collaboration with systems and component engineers.
- They provide support in evaluating functional requirements, equipment operating context, and environments to ensure cybersecurity principles are applied to system designs and equipment protection methods during ship construction and test.
- Responsibilities also include equipment research, project management, risk management, preparing presentations, and participating in customer design reviews.
- Control system security analysis and design implementation
- DoD/DoN platform information technology system analysis
- Design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of sensitive computing systems
- Review of equipment vendor software deliverables for compliance with cybersecurity requirements
- Acquisition and support of infrastructure for shipboard systems configuration
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Systems/Computer/Electrical Engineering
- 2-10 years of relevant system engineering and/or engineering experience
- In-depth knowledge of computer network infrastructures and operating systems (Windows and Linux)
- Candidates must be from outside operations
- Masters degree in Systems/Computer/Electrical Engineering
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), A+ or equivalent certification
- Understanding of NIST documentation
- US Navy submarine service
- Active Final DoD SECRET clearance
- In-depth knowledge of submarine propulsion systems, computer network infrastructures, and operating systems (Windows and Linux)
- Experience/Interest in security of control systems
