Job Title:
Apprentice Paint Laboratory Technician

As an apprentice paint laboratory technician, you will primarily work in our laboratories in Old Mill Creek.

You will examine and analyze the various raw materials that make up a paint, in order to develop new mixtures for a variety of applications.

As a paint laboratory technician, you will have knowledge of the properties of different raw materials and test them for their suitability in new paints.

This involves creating suitable paint systems for each new challenge, taking into account the often high requirements for the final product.

Training Duration: 3.5 years


Training Type:
Dual training

Training Location:
Vocational school in Stuttgart and training company, Sto Weizen

Requirements:
Intermediate school leaving certificate

Skills:
Good performance in the natural sciences of chemistry, math, and physics, enjoyment of working with colors, good color vision

Tasks:
Planning, conducting, and evaluating experiments

Company training focuses:
Paint formulation and production

School training focuses:
Chemical analysis, measurement methods, paint theory
