:Full Time
Hybrid PHONE SCHEDULER/DESK
The position will consist of hours as a phone scheduler and as a desk specialist based on practice needs.
Work Schedule:
Full-time
The schedule will be determined based on practice needs but will consist of primarily dayshift hours with the expectation of encompassing evenings and/or Saturday mornings when covering as a desk specialist.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Answering phone calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Handle customer service inquiries
- Updating patient account information as needed
- Complete new patient registration prior to appointments
- Review the waitlist and contact patients to schedule
- Review and follow up on no shows
- May assist with patient portal and referrals
- May conduct patient precertification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care
- Checking in and out patients
- Insurance verifications
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/skills include but not limited to:
- High school or GED required
- Minimum of one (1) year in a medical practice or hospital setting
- Excellent written communication & telephone skills
- Proficient multitasking and organizational skills in a fastpaced office environment
- Proficient PC skills
- OB/GYN experience preferred, not required
- Bilingual preferred, not required
