Has experience with Skyward that is software and used for enrollment & attendance in the school:

  • Creates and update student recruitment materials including brochures, flyers, and ads.
  • Meets with families individually to assist in the registration process and conducts school tours
  • Creates marketing campaigns.
  • Maintains student enrollment system data, manages lottery, waitlist, and complete student registration.
  • Works closely with the administrators to ensure that all state admission requirements are met.
  • Keeps track of newly enrolled students until they are properly oriented (ensures checklist is complete)
  • Keeps track of withdrawing students, and ensure all exit procedures are followed.
  • Enters and updates data for new and previous students
  • Works in collaboration with ESL/Special Ed and GT departments to request newly enrolled student records and send records for withdrawal students
  • Reviews newly enrolled students' documents to see previous SPED/Section 504/dyslexia/ESL/GT information and add the related students to suspect lists for related programs
  • Responds to TREx requests and initiates TREx requests for newly enrolled students
  • Responds to faxed record requests and initiates fax requests for newly enrolled students
  • Maintains student files and makes sure they are complete
  • Files incoming records from other schools and passes the records to related departments including ESL/Special Ed/GT departments
  • Keeps soft copy of all files in student folders (ensures checklist is complete)
  • Checks and reviews a variety of data for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to established standards and procedures
  • Operates standard office equipment to include, wordprocessing, and data processing equipment, copiers, laminators, etc.
  • Handles a variety of routine technical and administrative assignments
  • Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
  • Complies with and supports school and division regulations and policies
  • Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities
  • Performs related tasks as assigned by building administrator(s) in accordance with the school/policies and practices
  • Maintains physical and computerized records including student cumulative folders, progress and failure reports, class rosters, schedule changes, and grade books.
  • Supporting grading process, including processing of scan sheets, verification and correction of grades, and printing and distribution of report cards.
  • Processes and transmits request for student information, including student transcripts for colleges and universities.
  • Prepares and distributes University Interscholastic League (UIL) eligibility lists.
  • Calculates grade point averages, class rank, and prepares honor rolls.
  • Assists counselors with the enrollment, withdrawals, and transfer of students and processes applicable records.
  • Assist campus administration and counselors with the preparation of reports and student data information.
  • Coordinates ordering and distribution of all graduate materials, including caps and gowns and diplomas.
  • Makes sure that teachers take school attendance (snap shot) at SKYWARD as it is described in SST SCHOOLS manual.
  • Reviews the campus school attendance summary report and makes corrections as needed.
  • Enters "late in and early out" student's data to school attendance in SKYWARD.
  • Enters excuse information to the SKYWARD after receiving the required papers.
  • Documents excuse papers in a separated binder for audit purposes.
  • Documents reconciliation papers in a separated binder for audit purposes.
  • Notifies parents when a student returns from an absence without an excuse or has been absent for three or more days.
  • Calls parent of absent students each day.
  • Communicates with the Special Education and ESL Department Chairs concerning the attendance of students receiving special education services.
  • Verifies that computer records are accurate.
  • Mails warning notice (Truancy letter) to the parent if the students is absent without excuse from the school for three (3) days or parts of days in a four week period.
  • Determines students with excessive absences on regular basis.
  • Submits the attendance referral to the campus administrator for review and completion before filing court case.
  • Files court case against the student's parent, the student, or both, if a student is absent without an excuse for 10 days or parts of days in a sixth month period.
  • Maintains general office and departmental files, following up on misplaced, misdirected, or misfiled materials.
  • Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information.
