Base Rate:

$20.31

Performance Pay:

Available annually

New hire experience:

1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement, up to a five-year maximum

New hire education:

1% of the base hourly rate awarded for an AA or higher degree if not required for the position

OVERVIEW

To prepare and serve lunches on a time schedule and to monitor quality and quantity control of all food served; to coordinate cafeteria operations; to serve as a liaison between principal and Food and Nutrition Department.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school education or equivalent; two full years experience in school food service or equivalent experience required
Valid Arizona Driver's license with proof of insurance and reliable transportation
Must have Maricopa County Food Service Worker card
Must acquire Maricopa County Certified Food Service Manager card within three months
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Working knowledge of food ordering, food production and operation of commercial food equipment
Ability to organize, to prioritize and to plan day's workload
Ability to stand for long periods of time and to perform frequent reaching, stooping and lifting of up to forty pounds
Ability to be flexible in changing cafeteria situations and to work with constant interruptions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and serve lunches on a time schedule and monitor quality and quantity control of all food served
Enforce district and Food & Nutrition policies; implement all county and department safety and sanitation procedures in the cafeteria
Prepare accurate reports and records
Supervise the operation of computerized point of sale system
Supervise cafeteria personnel including managing, training and evaluating employees
Prepare and post employee work schedules
Promote and market school lunch to students and staff
Provide quality customer service to students and staff
Serve as a liaison between principal and Food & Nutrition department
Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
Regular and ontime attendance required

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Attend designated meetings and classes
Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities

SUPERVISION
Central Kitchen Field Supervisor

**Prior to employment or during the first 3 months of new hire probationary period, drug and alcohol testing shall be required of all new contract employees who work in Transportation. Any applicants having a confirmed positive test shall not be eligible for employment.
