Job Description Summary

  • Assist with day to day HR responsibilities that are essential to the business operations
  • Administer company policies and procedures
  • Provide internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, company policies, etc
  • Will assist in administering and compliance of company policies, compensation, benefits, and company programs and plans. May research, analyze, and integrate data to provide information on human resource programs to the HR manager
  • Assist in preparing and make presentations to employees
  • Administer human resources related trainings to employees
  • Guide hiring managers with employment related decisions
  • Act as liaison between employees and management to answer questions regarding company policies, practices and regulations
  • Manage employee life cycle processes for local office, including onboarding and offboarding
  • Assist in compliance of HR/Employment laws
  • Assist in planning and leading employee engagement events for local offices and employees
  • Follow directions of HR Manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific duty
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work Requirements

  • Must pass a preemployment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Must be able to provide valid documentation for the I9 Immigration document.
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to coworkers, supervisors and the general public at all times.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Must be able to work overtime when required.
  • Report to work at the designated start time.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist coworkers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, including EEO, FMLA, OSHA and FLSA
  • Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Requires proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and the ability to make presentations to the workforce
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management

Education / Experience

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 25 years progressive experience in human resources, employee relations, or related field

Requirements:


  • Proven ability to develop relationships and to work with teams as both a leader and a participant.
  • A working knowledge of customer specifications required.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills; building rapport, listening, presenting, giving and receiving feedback.
  • Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • High standard of ethics, integrity and trust.
  • Must be able to pass preemployment criminal background check.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures outlined in Employee Handbook.
  • Moderate travel required; must be willing to work in or travel to other locations as needed.
  • Must be available as needed during nontraditional work hours.
  • Must be able to work independently and with groups.
  • Must display a professional and courteous attitude toward coworkers, supervisors and general public at all times.
