Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation and logistics operations.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient dispatching of drivers and vehicles to meet customer demands and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process customer orders for transportation services
• Coordinate with drivers to schedule pickup and delivery times
• Utilize transportation management systems to track and monitor shipments
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates on delivery status
• Monitor driver performance and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
• Resolve any issues or delays in a timely manner to minimize disruptions in service
• Maintain accurate records of all dispatching activities
• Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize routes and maximize efficiency
• Assist with fleet management tasks such as vehicle maintenance scheduling and fuel management

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus
• Proven experience as a Dispatcher or in a similar role within the transportation industry
• Knowledge of AS400 or other transportation management systems (TMS)
• Familiarity with GPS and GIS software for tracking purposes
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent phone etiquette
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fastpaced environment
• Problemsolving skills with the ability to think quickly on your feet
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

$ $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week


Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Weekends as needed
