    About Baltimore City Community College
    Founded in 1947, Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) is a comprehensive institution accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. BCCC offers educational opportunities to the citizens of Baltimore City and throughout the state of Maryland with a broad range of degree, certificate, and continuing education programs, affordable tuition, and extensive outreach. BCCC is seeking a licensed Maryland Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist with experience teaching adults in a structured environment to serve as a Pharmacy Technician Instructor. As an adjunct faculty member, the Pharmacy Technician Instructor will lead classroom, laboratory, and online instruction, monitor student progress, and provide academic and technical support.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and deliver instruction based on approved syllabus, leveraging digital content and multimedia sources in the classroom, laboratory, and online settings.
    • Monitor and report on student progress, providing support as necessary.
    • Assist in maintaining the Pharmacy Technician classroom and laboratory and communicate with coordinators regarding placement and clinical experiences.
    • Prepare students for state and national certification exams.
    • Evaluate students' progress and provide feedback to inform student progress.
    • Create an engaging and supportive learning environment that adapts to multiple experience levels and learning styles.
    • Make recommendations for program improvements.

    Required qualifications:

    • Licensed Maryland Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist
    • Two years of experience teaching adults in a structured environment

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Associate degree or above
    • Nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician certification
    • Five years of experience in an institution of higher education.
