- Act as a credible medical/scientific expert engaging with KMEs and HCPs to enhance confidence in clinical decision-making related to disease states and Biogen's products both in the short and long term for better patient care.
- Focus on establishing deep, strategic, lengthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders to be seen as a partner rather than transactional.
- Operate as a proactive collaborator, being responsive, engaging frequently, and serving as a solutions-driven bridge to medical leaders.
- Participate in projects and initiatives aligned with the US Medical strategy, goals, and tactics.
- Demonstrate high accountability towards qualitative and quantitative medical excellence performance goals, standards, and metrics. Execute KME engagement plans efficiently by leveraging available resources in collaboration with both field and non-field colleagues. Document and present KME/HCP medical insights using Veeva with utmost consistency and accuracy to guide medical and clinical strategies.
- Advanced Scientific or Clinical degree; preferably at a doctoral (MD, PhD, PharmD) level.
- Experience in Neurology.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a similar role within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Residency in Florida or Georgia.
- Effective communication skills: Ability to convey messages clearly, confidently, and credibly; demonstrates understanding of others' perspectives and responds appropriately; listens empathetically to cater to present and future needs, adjusting communication based on the audience.
- Digital proficiency: Comfortable with technology use and experimentation; embraces and optimizes new tools and systems; displays willingness and capacity to learn if not already proficient.
- Accountability: Consistently achieves set goals; Driven to meet or exceed metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), viewing them as opportunities to showcase value to internal stakeholders.
- Ethical: Comprehends industry regulations and adheres to them for the welfare of patients.
- Required to travel at least 60% of the time, including overnight stays and occasional weekend travels, assuming health concerns such as COVID-19 are no longer prevalent.
- Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Should have permission and capability to operate a company-leased vehicle or rental.
- Clinical background and expertise in the relevant therapeutic area is advantageous.

Additional Information
The salary range for this position is $158,300 to $229,500. Base salary is determined based on various factors, including job-related experience, internal equity, and job location. In addition, this role is eligible for Biogen's LTI grants and other incentive schemes.
