Must have 24/7 open availability to work shifts on days, nights, weekend and holidays. You will not be scheduled for longer than a 16 hour shift.

Hunter's Ambulance Service is a licensed commercial ambulance company owned and operated by Hartford HealthCare Emergency Medical Services.

The company operates six locations across central and southern Connecticut and provides both emergency and nonemergency medical care to facilities and communities throughout the state.

Job Summary:


Dispatcher will accept, assess and direct non-emergency, emergency and requests for service calls, deploy appropriate resources in a timely and efficient manner and also provides Emergency Medical Dispatch instructions for all emergency calls.

The ideal person for this position is a critical thinker with excellent organizational and communication skills who possesses a strong customer-centered work ethic and attention to detail.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with changing priorities
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Outlook PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification
