General Plastics is currently seeking CNC Set Up Operators for 1st and 3rd shift to join our growing team. Work 4 days a week and enjoy 3-day weekends
General Plastics is a plastic thermoforming company that offers custom vacuum and pressure-forming services.

We use a wide range of materials, from polycarbonate to polyethylene, and our services include forming and trimming large deep-drawn parts, precise and consistent dimensional trimming, rotary and single station forming, CNC routing, and various secondary operations.

Are you passionate about working with CNC machines and have experience in the plastics industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Set Up professional to join our team In this role, you will play a key part in our production process, ensuring that our CNC machines are set up and operating efficiently to produce high-quality plastic products.


As a CNC Set Up, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up the machines, adjusting the necessary parameters, and monitoring the production process to ensure that it meets our standards.

You will also be troubleshooting any issues that may arise during production.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and set up CNC machines for production
  • Adjust the necessary parameters for the production process
  • Monitor the production process and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during production
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize production efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of production process and machine settings

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a CNC Set Up, preferably in the plastics industry
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machines and their operation
  • Proficient in programming and adjusting parameters for CNC machines
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical certifications are a plus)
