Job DescriptionMissouri-Pacific Lumber Co, Inc. is state-of-the-art hardwood sawmill and dry kiln facility. We are family owned and operated and have been in business in Missouri since 1980. Our facility sits on 51 acres just outside of Fayette, MO. Our work schedule provides a 2-1/2 day weekend. We operate on 9 hour work days, Monday through Thursday, and finishing up our 40 hour week at 10:30 am on Friday.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be reporting to our Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues
Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as lubricating parts, changing filters, and replacing worn-out components
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely manner
Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize tasks
Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and parts used
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
Experience:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and procedures
Proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
