    Coastal Florida Lead CRNA Opening - Ambulatory Surgical Center Setting
    • Clinical Role:
      • Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible CRNA
      • ACLS AND BLS- Required
      • 2 years' experience - Required
      • Permanent position opportunity
      • Hospital Employed Position
      • Anesthesiologist Supervision Model
      • Case types: General, GI, Plastic Surgery
    • Duties include:
      • Evaluate the patient assessment pre-operatively by interviewing and examining the patient: assesses data and selects appropriate anesthetic. Formulates a patient specific plan for anesthesia care
      • Administer anesthetics in accordance with scientifically sound processes and protocols of practice. Effectively and efficiently provides individualized safe anesthesia of the highest quality. Implements, monitors and adjusts based on patients physiological condition
      • Monitor, interprets and evaluates information derived from monitors intraoperatively on the patient of any age group and ASA status I- classifications.
      • Perform medical non-surgical procedures, i.e. IV insertion, intubation, hemodynamic and electrolyte balance, airway management in routine and acute medical situations
      • Monitor the patient's immediate post-operative care and performs post anesthesia evaluations of the patient. Post-operative pain management modalities are implemented. Medication, fluid and ventilator support are selected to facilitate recovery from anesthesia
      • Prepare drugs: maintains anesthesia equipment to keep in safe operating condition
      • Assists with positioning and transport of patient to the next level of care
    • Lead Responsibilities include:
      • 36 hours/week in direct patient care
      • Strategize and manage staff
      • Participation in POC, Surgical meetings, team meetings, ASC meetings, ad hoc meetings as requested
      • Constant collaboration with supervising ASC charge RN and anesthesiologist to facilitate workflow and improve efficiency
      • Continual recognition and successful implementation of processes as it relates to anesthesia quality improvements and communicate to staff
      • Collaborate with Practice Manager on agenda and education for monthly staff meetings
      • Facilitate communication with vendors and ASC manager
      • Develop and update orientation process for new providers
      • Review chart fall outs, incomplete or records in error
      • Maintain compliances for all CRNAs for ISTAT machine
      • Assist daily with EPIC issues in conjunction with EPIC superuser
      • Review of Origami reports and Plans of Action for ASC
      • Assume charge duties for counter parts when one not available due to meetings, in a case, days off or vacation, takes vacation on opposite weeks
      • Talentcare reviews for ASC CRNAs
      • Work with Executive Director on budget and forecasting of staffing needs
